- Restoration of the house and grounds in a way that respects the historical significance of the estate.
- Establishing a cross-cultural and diversity training program for young people.
- Restoration of the arboretum and gardens.
- Restoration of the library and preservation of the books and papers of Ambassador George C. McGhee, the last owner of Farmer’s Delight Plantation.
- Construction and development of an archive and research facility.
- Preservation of the Plantation’s extensive collection of antiquities, artifacts, and other items of interest.
- Cooperation and information sharing with the historic DeGolyer Home and the Dallas Arboretum in Dallas, Texas.
- Conversion of one of the barns into a small conference or teaching facility.
- Hosting music series, weddings, conferences, group meetings, historical reenactments, etc.
- Returning part of the estate grounds to traditional or specialized farming.
